This 1987 project home, set in a quiet suburban street in Glenhaven, was due for a major overhaul – and that is precisely what we achieved.

The existing home was already generous in size – it just needed to be more functional. We started by completely gutting the interior and altering the old layout.

A new concrete pool was added, complete with two surrounding outdoor living areas. The client wanted to be able to view the new pool from the living areas within the home, so we added much larger windows to overlook the pool.

The existing tiled floors made this home feel very cold. Replacing the tiles with new Spotted Gum hardwood flooring created a much warmer and more welcoming atmosphere.

Relocating the existing laundry and using that area for a walk in pantry to the new kitchen was a great space saver and provided a lot more options for the new kitchen layout.

The three existing bathrooms were a generous size but the layout didn’t work well. We created low maintenance bathrooms with an intuitive flow. The inclusion of modern, clean lines resulted in a timeless design that wont date. We rearranged the layout with walk in showers, wall hung vanities and tiled alcoves. Floor heating was also added to give luxurious warmth to all the bathrooms in winter.

Overall, this was an exciting project with a very rewarding outcome
